LG G4 specs revealed, 5.5-inch display and handcrafted leather backing

LG G4 is the upcoming gadget, many people are waiting it eagerly and it will be announced in a media event on Aprip 28. its newest flagship smartphone. However, amidst all the spec leaks and press renders, LG has seemingly confirmed all the things, bells and whistles in its dedicated microsite. The specs are truly awesome.

This could very well be an intentional PR move as the Samsung Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge, and the HTC One M9 went on sale yesterday in some countries. LG points out three main characteristics of the G4:

Artful Moments; Handcrafted Designs; and Personalized Experience. The text is all the same for all sections, currently stating,
“Every day, people take more photos with phone than with any other camera. That’s because the camera makes it so remarkably easy.”

Some of this info on the site looks to be a placeholder, such as KitKat should be Lollipop. Also, in a recent teaser video, LG stated its camera will have a 16MP rear sensor.

The G4 will sport the familiar back buttons from previous flagship devices and the following specs:

  • - 5.5″ Size Quad HD (2560 X 1440)
  • - Qualcomm Snapdragon up to 2.5 GHz / Quad-Core Processor
  • - 3GB RAM / 32GB eMMC
  • - 13MP Optical Image Stabilization with Laser Auto Focus Dual Flash
  • - 2.1MP Selfie, otherwise known as a front-facing camera
  • - 3,000mAh / Replaceable / Wireless Charging
  • - Android 5.0 Lollipop
According to the site, LG will have the G4 available in Metallic Black, Silk White, Shine Gold, Moon Violet, and Burgundy Red. In addition, it also seems the rumoured leather backing will be brought to life, possibly handcrafted leather in brown, black, red, yellow, sky blue, and beige.
