Samsung has recectly announced the second phone of Grand series . The Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 . Both the phones have larger than 5.0" display with a crispy display . The first phone is very near to Samsung Galaxy S III while the second phone of this series is near to Samsung Galaxy S IV.
There is an option of Dual Sim versions if you are keen of two sims . Both phones have 8.0 Mega pixels camera on the back side and front cameras too .
Galaxy Grand 1 that is also known as I9082 runs on Android 4.1.1 while the second phone of this series runs on 4.3 jelly bean software . Grand 1 has a pixel density of 480 x 800 pixels which give to it 187ppi value while the Galaxy grand 2 has a pixels density of 720 x 1280 pixels . So the second phone has a more sharp display than its predecessor . It has 280ppi value . It has a little big display size of 5.25 inch in comparison to 5.0 inch of the Grand I9082 . The pixel density in Grand I9082 is very low and of basic phones which gives not a sharp display . It gives a very basic and entry level phone's display . A 5 inch display demands more pixels than only WVGA .
Both phones have 1.2 Ghz processor but Grand 1 's processor is a Dual-Core while the processor of Grand 2 is 1.2 Ghz Quad-Core .
Walking by the big screen size of the Galaxy Grand, Samsung is obviously looking to meet a crowd that wants the most true trend in Android phones. The catch is that it's a certain set of users that would love the extra real estate but not pay a premium price. Now, throw a dual-SIM into the mix and you end up with a target users that will be hard-pressed to find something better than the Grand.
But... Not paying a flagship price entails compromise. In the Galaxy Grand, it's the size of a ... well... five-inch screen. The image quality isn't bad, but is far from top notch either. The contrast is decent if unspectacular, but more importantly, the WVGA resolution gets stretched pretty thin on this kind of screen diagonal.
Both the Galaxy Grand also won't give you some of the extra goodies that are a part of a flagship's .
Samsung's phablet series, the Galaxy Note I and the Galaxy Note II , have everything the Grands has not. They will perfectly present a larger, crisper Super AMOLED display , which is covered with Gorilla Glass to boot. Keep in mind that the Note, even after all the price cuts, is still remarkably more expensive than both the Galaxy Grands and has no dual-SIM version in case that's what you are looking.
